Our Story
Over 30 years ago we embarked on a journey different from the rest. We wanted something that was nearly lost and becoming extinct. We cast the TV out of our lives and never looked back. Instead, we immersed ourselves and our children into an agrarian way of life. We set ourselves on a path different from society.
Hormones or steroids are never administered to our animals
As the seasons allow, animals are raised in the open pasture. In the colder, wet months, animals are given deeply bedded shelters
Old Century Meats grows our own grains and mixes our own feeds ensuring that none of our animals get anything
Our all-natural production practices eliminate the need for sub therapeutic (daily-fed, low dose) medications that are commonlyused in confinement production systems.
